ABOUT US
our Story
Zion Telugu Church was started in January of 2008 by Pastors Mathews and Suneetha Vattiprolu.Being saved from a nominal and idolatrous background, they started Zion with direction and vision from the Lord to getting back to the Fundamental Biblical Christianity. With the help of the “Hand of the Lord”, Zion started to grow from initial three families to a thriving Telugu speaking church in USA. After holding services in a rental facility for 14 years, we moved into own facility in 2022.Our story is nothing but Lord’s faithfulness to his promise in Matthew 16 – that HE will build his church.
All praise to the Lord
our Pastors
Pastors Mathews and Suneetha Vattiprolu are born in India in very nominal Christian families. After finishing their education in Engineering and Math respectively they went into then started software industry. After working as software engineers in Saudi Arabia and Singapore, they moved to USA in 1999. Right after they moved they encountered Lord Jesus Christ in a profound way and surrendered their lives to HIS Lordship. Having seen nominal and traditional Christianity, their hunger for the Word of God and true Christianity increased by day. With a dissatisfaction of “What was then” and desire for “What can be”, Lord gave them a vision for Zion. After many days of Fasting Prayers, they started Zion in 2008. Their three gifted children Jessica, Joshua and Grace are alongside them in ministry. Besides serving the Lord in local church at Zion, they go to different countries on invitations. They proclaim the Word in telugu TV stations like, Subhavaartha, Aradana, Shanthi TV, etc… Pastor Mathews has written two books namely “Dreams”, “Angels”. Their prayer request has always been that “They remain faithful to the Lord even to the end”.
OUR MISSION
UNTIL EVERYONE KNOWS JESUS
Zion Telugu Church– is a local church serving Telugu speaking community in Wheaton, Naperville, Aurora and other west suburbs of Chicago. We are not affiliated to any denomination. We firmly believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and constantly seek His grace to keep us rooted and build us in His word. We adhere to the vision of first century, who were looking unto the Lord Jesus Christ for help as they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:42).

OUR BELIEFS
What we believe serves as the foundation of our faith
SALVATION
Gift from God Gift from God We believe that works cannot earn salvation, but it is free gift of God by grace through faith (Eph 2:8).
CHURCH
Fellowship Fellowship We believe that church is a body of confessing believers who are chosen of God the Father, through sanctification of Holy Spirit unto obedience and sprinkling of blood of Jesus Christ (1 Pet 1:2).
CHRISt'S RULE
Lion of Judah Lion of Judah We believe in the physical return of our Lord Jesus Christ to receive his church (John 14:1-3, I Cor 15:51-57, 1 Thess 4:13-18).
RESSURECTION
Redemption Redemption We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 28, Acts 1:3) according to scriptures by the power of God the Father.
GOD
Trinity We believe in one triune God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, eternally existing and have precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of precisely the same homage, confidence and obedience (John 1:1-4; Mat. 28:19,20; Acts 5:3,4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6).
BIBLE
Word Of God We believe in Biblical Inerrancy, which means bible is a living Word and entire bible is the Truth, and there is no error. We believe that all scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness: That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
SIN
Nature of Man We believe that man was originally created in the image of God to worship and serve the God in innocence. But, because of his voluntary disobedience, he fell down from fellowship with Holy God thus becoming subject to the power of the evil one. We believe that this fallen nature was depicted in Bible in many terms viz., “sin” (Rom 6:12, 14), “flesh” (Gal 5:17), “lust” (James 1:14, 1 John 2:16), etc.,
FORGIVENESS
Cross of Christ Cross of Christ We believe that Lord Jesus Christ gave his life on the cross as a ransom for us Heb. 9:12; I Peter 2:24.
